Born in Vienna, Pauline Pfeffer is the daughter of Croatian parents, the father was a Professor of Music and her mother, Carla Dragica Martinis was a great opera star of her time. Pauline lives with her family in Vienna, and resumed her career as a concert singer after a long break in order to

 

raise her children, and has since successfully made significant strides in re-establishing herself in the musical world.

Her repertoire covers arias and lieder, particularly those for dramatic soprano, including Italian and German opera, and embracing composers such as Korngold and Richard Strauss, and also songs from operetta, especially the lesser known.

A planned CD "masterpieces" is planned for recording in late 2011 in the Czech Republic which will include a wide range of operetta.

She founded a new international association entiteld "Operettensalon" in May 2011, which is intended both to promote and preserve the operetta genre, as well as to give young artists the opportunity to present themselves in international concerts.
